Pay-television broadcaster Sky extended its rights to the US PGA Championship in the UK and Ireland for three further years at a slight increase on the previous average fee.

Live coverage of golf’s US PGA Championship will continue to be shown by Sky in the UK and Ireland after the pay-television broadcaster landed a new three-year agreement.

DAZN’s branch into golf follows two significant developments for the service this year: its first ever consumer price increase and its loss of English Premier League rights.

Sport 24, the in-flight and in-ship television service operated by the IMG agency, has acquired rights to this year’s edition of golf’s PGA Championship, which gets underway tomorrow (Thursday).

Global sports streaming service DAZN has acquired rights in Japan to golf’s US PGA Championship and US Open from 2022 to 2024.
