The London offices of the IMG, MP & Silva and B4 Capital agencies were among a number of locations related to the sports-media industry to be visited by European Commission inspectors earlier this month, according to The Guardian.
The UK newspaper had already reported that the London office of media company 21st Century Fox and Dutch pay-television broadcaster Ziggo had been visited.
The European Commission said that its “unannounced inspections” on April 10 served as a “preliminary step into suspected anticompetitive practices” in the sports-rights market.
“IMG Media was the subject of an on-site inspection by the European commission,” said a spokesman for IMG. “We are co-operating with the EC and no further comment will be made at this time.”
