The International Boxing Association, Aiba, has struck a deal with online video distribution and marketing company Rightster for the governing body’s World Series of Boxing to be streamed live.
The agreement will run for five years, from 2014 to 2018.
To activate the deal, contests will be shown live and on demand via the AIBAboxingTV.com digital streaming service, starting with the first legs of the series’ quarter-finals tomorrow (Saturday).
AIBAboxingTV.com was created with the support of Rightster, the governing body said.
Flexible subscriptions are available for between $12 (€8.64) and $21.
Rightster will also manage Aiba’s three channels on video-sharing website YouTube.
“Working with Rightster on the Aiba video hub is core to how we plan to build the World Series of Boxing and Aiba brands over the next five years,” Aiba’s executive director, Ho Kim, said.
