Fight Sports lands knockout DAZN deal

Media company CSI Sports, the owner of Fight Sports, has struck a distribution deal for the pay-television channel with DAZN, the recently-launched OTT service operated by digital-media company Perform.

The deal covers DAZN’s service in Austria, Germany, Japan and Switzerland.

Live coverage of events on Fight Sports will be available through the service, including the HBO Championship Boxing series, starting with the light-heavyweight world title fight between Sergey Kovalev (pictured) and Andre Ward this Saturday night.

DAZN will also provide extensive live coverage of upcoming World Boxing Organisation and World Boxing Council bouts on December 10 and 17, respectively, as well as K-1 and Glory kickboxing events on December 3 and 10.

Mixed martial arts, martial arts and reality, documentary and magazine programming will also be available.

The deal takes Fight Sports’ reach into 35 countries across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
