The International Motorcycling Federation’s (FIM) Motocross World Championship (MXGP) has renewed a rights agreement in France with motorsport-focused channel Automoto La Chaîne.
The deal was brokered by Infront Moto Racing, the company that manages the exclusive television, marketing and promotional worldwide rights to MXGP. The company was formerly known as Youthstream and rebranded last month.
Automoto La Chaîne covered the 2019 MXGP season and the new agreement will cover the 2020 campaign.
As part of the agreement, the channel will broadcast the MXGP and MX2 races either live or on a delayed schedule.
Earlier this month, Italian public-service broadcaster Rai agreed a two-year extension to its rights deal for MXGP. Rai, which has held rights to the series since 2017, will broadcast the entire campaign of MXGP and MX2 races live throughout the weekend.
Last month, CBS Sports Network extended its rights deal for the series in the US. The deal will run from 2020 to 2022.
