The Board of Control for Cricket in India will launch a new process for the next set of broadcast rights to Twenty20 competition the Indian Premier League in May 2016.
BCCI president Shashank Manohar (pictured) said at a media briefing in Mumbai after the annual general meeting for the IPL that a new tender process will be opened for the franchise-based league at the end of May.
Sony Entertainment Television, part of the Multi Screen Media group, currently holds the broadcast rights to the IPL under a deal spanning the 2008 to 2017 editions of the league.
