BeIN Sports strikes deal for MLB World Series

French pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports has increased its portfolio of North American major league rights by acquiring the exclusive rights to the 2014 World Series, the championship series of Major League Baseball.

BeIN Sports 1 will broadcast all games from the best-of-seven series between the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants live, starting with the first game today (Tuesday).

BeIN Sports also currently holds rights to basketball league the NBA and American football league the NFL.

The 2014 World Series is scheduled to run through October 29 if necessary.
