Canadian telecommunications company Bell has agreed a deal to cover this year’s Canadian League of Gamers esports competition.
Coverage of the competition will be shown in Canada via Bell-owned pay-television broadcasters TSN and RDS.
Bell has also been named the title sponsor of the league and Northern Arena, its premier competition. As part of the deal, its broadband products and services will be used during production.
The partnership begins this weekend with the Call of the North event, which will serve as a qualifier for the Toronto LAN Finals event from September 1-4 at the Fan Expo convention.
Bell’s sponsorship will continue with a second Call of the North qualifying event from October 21-23. That event will serve as a preliminary round for the Montreal LAN Grand Finals at the Canadian Video Game Awards from November 11-13.
