Bids for a domestic package of rights in France to the Coupe de France football club knockout competitions for men and women and Division 1 Féminine, the country’s top division of women’s football, have failed to meet the reserve price, according to French newspaper l’Equipe.
The report said that public-service broadcaster France Télévisions, the Eurosport France division of the pan-regional sports broadcaster and pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports all submitted bids by the deadline yesterday (Tuesday).
Fédération Française de Football (FFF), the governing body of football in France, which in December launched the sales process for the rights, covering four seasons, from 2014-15 to 2017-18, launched a ‘second round’ of the sales process today (Wednesday), the report said.
