Specialist boxing pay-television channel BoxNation has secured the exclusive UK live broadcast rights to unified world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s highly-anticipated rematch against Wladimir Klitschko.
The fight is set to take place in the English city of Manchester on July 9. England’s Fury, the WBA super, WBO and IBO world heavyweight champion will make the first defence of the titles against the man he took them from in November’s bout in Dusseldorf, Germany.
The acquisition of Fury-Klitschko comes just days after BoxNation secured the exclusive UK live broadcast rights to the forthcoming title fight between Canelo Alvarez and Amir Khan. The fight on May 7 at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will see Mexican superstar Alvarez, the WBC, Ring Magazine and Lineal Middleweight World Champion, take on English fighter Khan.
BoxNation chairman Frank Warren said: “The addition of the fight to the channel is another fantastic acquisition following on from the recent capture of the blockbuster showdown between Khan v Canelo. This yet again shows our commitment to bringing the biggest and best fights to our BoxNation subscribers.”
