UK specialist boxing pay-television channel BoxNation is drawing together investors to support a drive into Asian and East European markets, according to The Sunday Times.
The UK newspaper said BoxNation, which currently has 150,000 subscribers in the UK, is seeking £10m (€13.6m/$15.4m) to fuel its expansion plans.
BoxNation on Saturday broadcast its 250th live show as Britain’s Frank Buglioni lost a unanimous points decision to Russian champion Fedor Chudinov in their WBA ‘regular’ world super-middleweight title bout at the SSE Arena in London.
The channel celebrates its four-year anniversary on September 30 and has broadcast over 1,000 professional bouts from 23 different countries, including over 200 world championship fights, 57 European title contests and 76 British and Commonwealth title battles.
