Polish production company ATM System has been appointed as host broadcaster of the 2017 World Games, with commercial and pay-television broadcaster Polsat set to broadcast the multi-sport event in its host country and Ufa Sports appointed to market international broadcast rights.
The 2017 World Games will take place in the Polish city of Wrocław from July 20-30 next year. In addition to ATM, the Wrocław Organising Committee has engaged International Sports Broadcasting to deliver supplementary services to enhance the production quality and meet the demands of the international market.
The agreement with the ATM System-led consortium consists of television production of each of the 27 sports on the official programme and the four invitational sports. In addition, extended production hours and production standards will be provided on an on-demand basis for international broadcasters and sports federations.
Polsat will broadcast Wrocław 2017 across its Polsat Sport, Polsat Sport News and Polsat Open channels.
The Ufa Sports agency will take on the role of international television distribution. Ufa has been a partner of the IWGA in this field since 2012 and managed the international distribution of the 2013 World Games which took place in Cali, Colombia.
