UK telecommunications company BT has confirmed that broadband customers will have to pay £3.50 (€4.05/$4.35) per month for pay-television service BT Sport from April 2.
The change to the BT TV package is part of broader price rises across some landline and broadband services.
Until now, BT Sport has been free for broadband subscribers.
BT Sport has invested in live UK media rights for football’s domestic Premier League and Uefa Champions League European competition, as well as a variety of other properties.
