Pay-television operator Canal Plus International has acquired rights in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa to the Süper Lig, the top division of Turkish football.
The three-season deal has been struck with beIN Media Group, which is marketing international rights to the Süper Lig, and will run across the 2017-18 to 2019-20 campaigns.
The rights will be exploited via A+ Sport, a new channel that Canal Plus International launched earlier this month.
A number of high-profile African players currently turn out for Süper Lig clubs including Samuel Eto’o (Antalyaspor), Emmanuel Adebayor (Istanbul Başakşehir) and Carlos Kameni (Fenerbahce).
