Organisers of the Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament have confirmed broadcasters in India, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean and the US will cover the inaugural event.
The 24-match CPL runs from July 30 to August 24 and all games will be shown by pay-television broadcasters Sony, BT Sport and Fox Sports in India, the UK and Australia respectively. Digital free-to-air channel Sommet Sports will televise the tournament in New Zealand and online streaming service ESPN 3 will provide coverage in the US.
Negotiations remain ongoing to add further countries to this list, while a host of broadcasters across the Caribbean will televise the tournament free-to-air on their terrestrial channels.
Damien O’Donohoe, chief executive of the CPL, declared interest from media around the world to be “strong and encouraging”.
