Video-sharing platform Dailymotion has entered into a content partnership with cross-platform media network Whistle Sports.
Whistle Sports will share its original video content to Dailymotion through an initial 26 channels on the latter’s website. Among others, the channels featured will include The Lacrosse Network, Harlem Globetrotters and Whistle Sports itself.
Whistle Sports focuses on producing short-form videos for the “millennial” audience. Its content stream includes trick-shots, behind-the-scenes footage and how-to videos. Whistle Sports currently reaches 130 million fans and followers.
Martin Rogard, chief operating officer of Dailymotion, said: “For years, we have been focusing on distributing high-value sports content, including videos from the NBA, Tour de France, FC Barcelona, and competitions like sailing race the Vendée Globe. Working with Whistle Sports Network and its roster of exceptional creators will not only give our current audience access to world-class original sports content, but also attract new viewers to Dailymotion.”
