DAZN, the OTT service operated by digital sports media company Perform, has opened up its coverage of the NFL American football league in Canada by agreeing carriage deals with cable television providers Shaw and SaskTel.
DAZN holds NFL rights in Canada under a five-year deal covering the 2017-18 to 2021-22 seasons and is the only place fans can view complete coverage of the league.
However, DAZN’s service has been the subject of constant complaints from customers since the beginning of the season and the platform has moved to answer this criticism through the new agreements.
Under the deals, Shaw and SaskTel customers will be able to purchase the new Sunday Ticket package, which is now known as Game Pass. In a statement, DAZN added that it was looking forward to developing these and other such partnerships in Canada.
