DraftKings has expanded a partnership with Euroleague Basketball that will allow the daily fantasy sports operator to stream live coverage of the body's EuroLeague tournament.
DraftKings said that it hoped to offer US and Canada-based customers the opportunity to stream coverage of the competition via the operator’s application by the first quarter of 2018.
Customers will be able to stream one game per week for free or watch multiple games by playing in a DraftKings DFS contest worth $3 (€2.60) and above. Customers will be able to toggle between fantasy contests and live content.
Euroleague contests will be available worldwide on the DraftKings platform from next Tuesday, November 14.
DraftKings will also create original content to support the Euroleague product, the operator added.
DraftKings said that it is “testing the waters in the streaming of live sports” through the deal.
In July, DraftKings was named as Euroleague’s official fantasy partner. The length of the agreement was not disclosed, but it will run until at least the end of the 2017-18 season.
