Telecommunications company Econet, which operates in sub-Saharan Africa, has secured rights for the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, the top division of football in Brazil.
The deal will start immediately and run for two-and-a-half seasons, until the end of the 2018 campaign.
Econet, which struck the agreement with Brazilian media company Globo, will exploit the rights on its Kwesé Sports pay-television platform.
The exclusive rights will cover Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zanzibar and Zimbabwe.
Kwesé Sports will show 110 games from the league every year, as well as 43 matches from the São Paulo State League.
Two weekly magazine programmes will also be broadcast.
