Algerian public-service broadcaster EPTV has acquired rights for Ligue 1, the top division of football in the country.
The deal with the Ligue de Football Professionnel, which operates Ligue 1, will run for the duration of the 2013-14 season.
According to the DZfoot.com news website, the deal is worth nearly €4m ($5.2m) – more than double the value of the previous deal.
Under the new agreement, twice the number of Ligue 1 games will be shown on Algerian television.
