Pan-regional sports broadcaster Eurosport has renewed a live rights deal for live coverage of motorsport’s FIA World Endurance Championship, featuring the annual Le Mans 24 Hour race.
The broadcaster struck the three-year extension, from 2014 to 2016, with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and Le Mans Endurance Management, which operate the endurance races.
The deal includes television and digital rights for the Le Mans 24 Hour race and the seven other rounds of the International Motorsport Federation (FIA) endurance championship.
The agreement covers a total of 71 countries in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
For the Le Mans 24 Hour race, Eurosport will show all of the action live across its main Eurosport and Eurosport 2 channels, as well as online and via mobile. Additionally Eurosport will show a daily magazine programme, produced by the broadcaster, during the week of the event.
Eurosport will show live coverage of the final hour of the other endurance races on the calendar.
