Pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport has launched a new television service in Germany to bolster its coverage of the US Open tennis championships.
Eurosport 360HD is available exclusively through pay-television broadcaster Sky Deutschland and includes multi-court feeds, broadcasting all matches from Flushing Meadows’ five main courts live and in high definition from 5pm CET until the end of the night sessions in New York.
The service will run alongside the Eurosport HD and Eurosport 2 HD channels to transmit in excess of 500 hours of action from US Open – a record for a tennis event on German television.
A similar service will also be rolled out by Eurosport 360HD for the first two tennis majors of 2014, the Australian Open and French Open and for as yet unspecified key sporting events.
