Pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport has acquired exclusive rights to German cyclist Jens Voigt’s attempt to break the record for the longest distance cycled in one hour.
Eurosport will broadcast live the event to its 70 markets across Europe and Asia-Pacific. The deal also includes the worldwide sub-licensing rights to the event.
In addition to live coverage of the event, Eurosport will also broadcast features about Voigt and highlights from the 2014 Tour de France and Vuelta a España cycling events. In total, Eurosport will broadcast more than 11 hours of cycling throughout the day of the event.
The record attempt will take place on September 18 at the Velodrome Suisse in Grenchen, Switzerland.
