The ATP Board, the decision-making body of the ATP men’s tennis tour, has approved a motion to remove conflicts of interest, meaning IMG Tennis’ Gavin Forbes will be unable to run again as one of three tournament representatives within the executive committee when his term comes to an end in 2023.

In an email seen by SportBusiness and sent to tour members on February 11, ATP chairman Andrea Gaudenzi said the “significant governance change” would enable the ATP’s decision making to “most effectively represent the interests” of its members and the tour.
