France’s National Assembly gives green light to anti-piracy law

France’s National Assembly has approved a new law which is designed to tackle piracy of “cultural works in the digital age”.

The law has been particularly eagerly anticipated by sports broadcasters in France as it potentially grants them new weapons in the fight against piracy of their content.
