GolTV launches OTT platform in Canada

Pan-American pay-television broadcaster GolTV has launched its new GolTV Play OTT service in Canada.

GolTV Play will feature coverage from the Primeira Liga, the top tier of club football in Portugal.

The service will show five weekly matches from the league. Benfica, Porto and Sporting matches will be shown, along with other fixtures that will vary based on league standings.

GolTV Play costs $9.90 (€8) per month and is currently only available in Canada. GolTV plans on expanding its streaming service into more countries and with rights to more properties.

GolTV has been broadcasting the Primeira Liga in the US since the start of the 2017-18 season.
