The MP & Silva agency has agreed a global media rights deal with the SEHA Liga, a handball competition which gathers together clubs from seven south east European national associations.
Terms of the long-term deal were not disclosed, but it will exclude the territories which compete in the league – Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Sinisa Ostoic, managing director of the SEHA Liga, said: “This conclusion of cooperation is big proof that the development of the league is going in the right direction. This partnership requires additional efforts in raising the league’s standard and provides great benefits to all sides involved. With this partnership, the future, growth and the league’s quality is guaranteed.”
The SEHA Liga is ranked by the European Handball Federation as the third strongest domestic league in the world after the competitions in Germany and France. Hungary’s Veszprém is the reigning champion.
