Pay-television broadcaster Star India has unveiled plans to launch a new sports service on its over-the-top platform, Hotstar.
The subscription service is set to launch in the coming months, according to the Television Post website.
James Murdoch, the chief executive of media company 21st Century Fox, said that the Hotstar mobile service had recently surpassed 60 million downloads and had recently launched a premium subscription tier.
Star India has rights to the cricket governing bodies of India, England and Australia, among other sports rights.
