The International Federation of Sport Climbing has partnered with extreme sports media company Epic TV to produce monthly online climbing shows.
A series of six shows will run through to November and will be co-distributed by the Broadreach Media agency, the IFSC’s media consultant.
The shows will document the 2015 IFSC competition season, covering the approximately 20 World Cup events across sport climbing’s three disciplines of lead, bouldering and speed, plus other events.
Programmes lasting 26 minutes will include behind-the-scenes content, offering fans an insight into the day of a competitor during a major international event. Epic TV will complete the material with other content including interviews or training videos with the athletes.
The IFSC said the deal has been signed as part of a continuous effort to promote sport climbing and appeal to a broader audience worldwide.
