Impress Matra Consortium has acquired global broadcast rights for the Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20 club cricket competition.
The Daily Sun newspaper reported that the deal will run for three years, from 2017 to 2019.
IMC reportedly saw off competition from Gazi Satellite Television, Ardent and Mediacom Consortium, and Top of Mind to secure rights to the competition.
IMC will distribute international rights to the BPL and will also telecast matches.
The deal comes after IMC last month agreed a wide-ranging sponsorship deal with the Bangladesh Cricket Board. As part of the agreement, IMC will receive rights to a host of properties, including series and in-stadium branding.
West Indies stars Dwayne Bravo (pictured) and Chris Gayle, as well as Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene, are due to compete in this season’s BPL, which begins on November 4.
