UK pay-television broadcaster Sky and Russian sports media platform Match TV have acquired rights to the 2016 edition of pre-season club football competition the International Champions Cup.
Sky Sports will show up to 17 matches exclusively live from the three-week tournament in July and August, including newly-crowned Premier League champion Leicester City taking on Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Celtic.
As well as Leicester, Sky’s schedule includes live coverage of Manchester City, plus Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan. Sky Sports will also show highlights of five matches involving Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 2016 International Champions Cup will run from July 22 to August 13 across venues in the United States, Australia and China.
Match TV adds the competition to its football portfolio, where it will join the Copa América Centenario and Uefa Euro 2016 on its summer line-up.
