Indian Premier League cricket team Rajasthan Royals has launched its own media channel, according to the Press Trust of India news agency.
‘RR TV’ has been developed in partnership with the Engage Sports Media company in order to provide the club’s fans with exclusive original content.
RR TV will include daily online video clips of the team and offer a number of television programmes.
It will be syndicated and distributed to the team’s official website and social networking sites such as Fan Zone, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Content will also be offered to online publishers, news and sports websites, along with mobile and television networks in India, the sub-continent and select international territories.
The Royals are seeking to utilise the channel to develop content in the off-season to engage its fan base on a year-round basis.
