Le Sports, which is operated by Chinese internet company LeTV, has acquired exclusive digital media rights in the country for the ATP World Tour men’s tennis series’ Masters 1,000 and 500 tournaments.
The deal with the ATP Media broadcast division of the tour will run for five years, from 2016 to 2020.
Le Sports will provide live coverage of more than 20 tournaments per year, including the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals, and will also show the tour’s weekly magazine show, ATP World Tour Uncovered.
Under the agreement, Le Sports will also become the official online video partner of the ATP World Tour and a platinum partner of the series. Le Sports will receive on-court branding at the World Tour Finals tournament and will also become the presenting sponsor of the video section on the Tour’s flagship website, atpworldtour.com.
Earlier this year, Le Sports acquired rights in China for the Wimbledon tennis tournament grand slam in a three-year deal, from 2016 to 2018.
