German football’s DFB Pokal will return to French television this week after rights were acquired by L’Équipe, the Groupe Amaury-owned free-to-air digital terrestrial channel.
The competition has been without a broadcaster in France since the expiry of the contract with pay-television’s beIN Sports in 2018.
L’Équipe will show exclusive coverage of tomorrow evening’s quarter-final clash between Schalke 04 and Bayern Munich.
The channel will then show the two semi-final matches on April 21 and 22, along with the final on May 23.
International broadcast rights to the tournament are sold by the Infront agency.
