French digital-terrestrial sports channel L'Équipe has extended rights deals for motorsport’s FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) motorcycle-racing series.
The renewal with the WEC, which is operated by the FIA, motorsport’s global governing body, will cover the 2018-19 season.
The extension with the FIM, the global governing body for motorcycle-racing and the operator of the EWC, will cover two seasons, until 2020.
Earlier this year, L'Équipe, which has shown coverage of the championships for the past two seasons, renewed a rights deal for the World Rallycross Championship for three years, from 2018 to 2020.
