The French Football League (LFP) has extended its partnership with video-sharing platform YouTube.
Having partnered since 2012, the association will continue throughout the 2017-18 season. Content will continue to be offered through the Ligue 1 Conforama, Ligue 1 Conforama Official, Domino's Ligue 2 and Coupe de la Ligue channels on YouTube.
With more than 900,000 subscribers, the LFP said its channels are now the leading YouTube sports services in France in terms of subscribers.
It also detailed a significant increase in traffic following the world record summer move of Brazilian forward Neymar (pictured) from Spanish LaLiga club Barcelona to Ligue 1 team Paris Saint-Germain. The LFP said its channels generated more than 18 million viewers in August, two-and-a-half times the amount than in the equivalent month last year.
Brazil has also become the LFP’s second biggest market for YouTube views after France since the start of the 2017-18 season.
