Ligue 1 scores Russian broadcast platform

Russian state broadcaster VGTRK has agreed a two-year deal to broadcast games from French football’s Ligue 1, according to the Football.fr website.

The two-year contract will span the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons of Ligue 1 and has been agreed with the French Football League.

The deal comes as AS Monaco, owned by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, prepares to make its return to the top division of French football in 2013-14 following two seasons in Ligue 2.
