The Bangladesh Cricket Board has agreed a deal to award domestic rights for the national team’s home series against Sri Lanka to pay-television broadcaster Maasranga Television.
The series, which starts on January 24, will feature two Test matches, three One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 contests.
Maasranga Television outbid rival pay-television broadcaster Gazi TV for the rights. Gazi TV showed Bangladesh’s most recent home series against New Zealand.
“We are going to sign a deal with Maasranga as they are the higher bidder of the two,” Kazi Inam Ahmed, chairman of the governing body’s marketing and commercial committee, told the Daily Star newspaper.
