The MP & Silva agency has confirmed a deal to become the exclusive media-rights partner of the International Handball Federation.
The agreement, which was reported by TV Sports Markets on November 13, will run for seven years, from 2019 to 2025.
The deal will cover senior IHF events, including the men’s and women’s World Championships.
The agency will also produce coverage of these events, including highlights and feature programming.
MP & Silva has dislodged the IHF’s current partner, beIN Media Group, which had the rights from 2015 to 2017.
The men’s and women’s World Championships take place every other year. The 2019 men’s World Championship will be co-hosted by Denmark and Germany, with the 2021 event set to head to Egypt.
Japan will host the 2019 women’s World Championship, with Spain staging the event in 2021.
The IHF launched the tender for the rights in September.
