The MP & Silva agency has appointed Jochen Lösch as its new chief executive.
Lösch joins MP & Silva having with almost two decades of executive experience in the sports industry, most recently serving as president of international business at the Traffic Sports Marketing agency.
At MP & Silva, Lösch will be responsible for setting the company’s vision, values and business strategy, as well as leading global client relationships. He will also be responsible for driving growth across MP & Silva’s business functions, including its media property rights portfolio and digital, technology and sponsorship services.

Lösch’s appointment comes after Marco Auletta’s resignation as chief executive last month. Auletta, who will remain a minority shareholder in MP & Silva, said it was the “right moment” to step down following the recent takeover of the agency by a Chinese investment fund.
In May, MP & Silva confirmed that Shanghai Jin Xin, a fund created by Chinese financial services company Everbright and internet entertainment and technology provider Baofeng, had acquired a 65-per-cent stake in the agency. The deal was said to value MP & Silva at around $1bn (€909m).
MP & Silva’s portfolio includes the international rights to Serie A, the top division of Italian football, which it is marketing for the period spanning 2015-16 to 2017-18.
