Manchester United has agreed a deal with Saudi telecommunications company STC for the English Premier League football club’s in-house MUTV channel to be shown in three Gulf territories.
The deal will run for five years, from 2013-14 to 2017-18.
Under the deal, STC will switch from being the club’s official telecommunications partner to ‘official triple play partner’, covering Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait, while also holding rights in Turkey for the first year of the agreement.
STC will have exclusive rights to distribute the channel via its television, online and mobile services in these territories.
STC has been a partner of the club since 2008.
