Steffi Buchli is to leave MySports, the pay-television broadcaster owned by Swiss telecoms operator UPC, to become sports editor-in-chief at media company Blick Group.
Buchli currently serves as head of programming at MySports, where she also works as a television presenter. She will take up her new role on January 1 and will report to Blick Group editor-in-chief Christian Dorer.
From 2003 to 2017, Buchli worked for Swiss broadcasting company SRF before moving to MySports.
MySports has not yet lined up a successor for Buchli.
Buchli will succeed Felix Bingesser at Blick-Sport, who will continue to work as a journalist for the company.
Bingesser, who has headed the sports department of Blick Group for 10 years, will also deal with sports-focused strategic issues for Swiss media company Ringier, which owns Blick Group.
Andreas Böni becomes deputy sports editor-in-chief of Blick Group.
