Octapixx launches boxing-dedicated company

Sports marketing company Octapixx Live has established a new subsidiary, Protocol Sports Marketing, which will focus on marketing boxing properties to media platforms on a global basis.

Protocol will target “broadcasters and internet” platforms whilst “pursuing other major business development opportunities for the sport at large,” Octapixx said.

Octapixx initially distributed five boxing telecasts in 2009, expanding to 48 events in 2014. Octapixx will continue to market other sports properties while the dedicated Protocol team will focus on boxing.

“Protocol Sports Marketing will provide greater efficiency for our promoter partners while expanding our reach to broadcasters and internet licensees all over the world,” Octapixx chief executive Gary Gladman said.
