Digital platform Onefootball has partnered with data provider and media company Sportradar to boost the development of its OTT offering.
Having begun showcasing football rights via a pay-per-view model through its own app in April, Onefootball will now use the Sportradar OTT platform moving forward.
Onefootball already uses Sportradar data to enhance its sports content and power its live score service. It recently agreed PPV live streaming distribution partnerships with pay-television broadcaster Sky Deutschland, for 2. Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal matches in Germany, and international sports broadcaster Eleven Sports for domestic Serie C games in Italy as well as selected European league matches in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Onefootball chief executive and founder, Lucas von Cranach, said: “After test-launching in April, we have looked extensively for the most appropriate technological partner for the next chapter in this venture. Sportradar, with their global footprint, flexible solution and array of impressive work with other big industry names, is a natural choice.”
