ESPN+, the US sports broadcaster’s subscription streaming service, will hold live and exclusive rights to the comeback fight of Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.
The former eight-division world champion will take on Lucas Matthysse for the WBA welterweight title at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 14.
This will be Pacquiao’s (pictured) first fight since headlining cable television’s highest-rated and most-watched boxing broadcast since 2006, when he fought Jeff Horn in July 2017 on ESPN.
Pacquiao-Matthysse will be part of a full day of boxing on the ESPN family of networks, as Regis Prograis will defend the WBC super lightweight diamond title against Juan Jose Velasco, and lightweight Teofimo Lopez will face William Silva, live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes and via streaming on the ESPN App from the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
