The Fox Sports division of US network Fox has agreed a multi-year deal to show the new midweek boxing property launched by the Premier Boxing Champions series.
Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays will debut on pay-television channel Fox Sports 1 on September 8, with a bill topped by American former light-middleweight world champion Austin Trout (pictured) taking on Joey Hernandez.
Three more of these weekly fight cards from the PBC – which is operated by influential boxing adviser Al Haymon – have been announced for the remainder of September, including Javier Fortuna’s first defence of his World Boxing Association super-featherweight title against Puerto Rican Olympian Carlos Velazquez on September 29.
Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays will also air on US Spanish-language pay-television channel Fox Deportes and via streaming platform Fox Sports Go.
“We’ve been invested in boxing as a cornerstone property since launching Fox Sports 1,” David Nathanson, Fox Sports head of business operations, said. “Premier Boxing Champions delivers high-profile, high-quality programming that is breaking viewership records in the boxing space.”
