German commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1’s free-to-air channel ProSieben Maxx has expanded its partnership with WWE under a new multi-year rights deal with the US wrestling organisation.
The length of the new agreement between WWE and 7Sports, the sports business division of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, was not disclosed but it will commence in 2017.
As of April, ProSieben Maxx will add exclusive rights in Germany to the WWE’s ‘Raw’ series, complementing its existing coverage of ‘SmackDown’.
