Saudi Arabia to lift beIN blockade and settle beoutQ dispute

Saudi Arabia is set to lift its four-and-a-half-year ban on beIN Sports operating in the country and has offered to settle the broadcaster’s $1bn (€870m) legal case against it, potentially bringing to an end the long-running piracy dispute between the kingdom and the Qatar-based broadcaster.

It is understood that beIN has been approached by the Saudi authorities offering to settle the legal case and, according to beIN sources, they have also committed to remove all pirate websites in the country identified by beIN.
