French telecommunications company SFR-Numericable is in talks with beIN Media Group about a possible collaboration regarding sports output, according to daily newspaper Les Echos.
The report, citing unnamed sources, said that SFR-Numericable has already attempted unsuccessfully to agree deals with French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus and telecommunications company Orange.
In June, SFR-Numericable launched a suite of sports channels following the completion of its acquisition of Altice Media Group France.
SFR-Numericable launched SFR Sport 1 at the weekend with coverage of the opening weekend of the 2016-17 season of football’s English Premier League, including Hull City v Leicester City (pictured).
