French pay-television broadcaster SFR Sport has broadened its football portfolio by acquiring rights to Portuguese knockout competitions the Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga.
SFR Sport already holds exclusive rights in the country for the Portuguese Primeira Liga and will now broadcast the remainder of the 2016-17 campaigns of the two cup competitions.
The current Taça da Liga season is set to conclude with its final on January 29, while the Taça de Portugal runs through to May 28.
Along with the Primeira Liga, SFR Sport also holds rights to the English Premier League, Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, Copa do Brasil and the Chinese Super League.
